Stroke
Fellowships
The
American Academy
of Neurology and Association of University
Professors in Neurology offer a comprehensive
database
of neurology fellowships, including Cerebrovascular
/ Stroke Fellowships.
The
Institute for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Beth
Israel Medical Center in New York, through
the support of the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation,
is sponsoring a one year fellowship in cerebrovascular
disease and stroke. The foundation has a longstanding
interest in remedying minority under-representation
in the health professions.
The stroke program at Beth Israel Medical Center
spans four acute care hospitals, including one
tertiary referral center. The Singer Division
houses a neurological intensive care unit, and
an internationally recognized program in endovascular
surgery, specializing in the treatment of aneurysms
and arteriovenous malformations. Fellowship training
includes work in a very active stroke prevention
program, with the opportunity to participate in
community outreach.
